Beijing: Chinese President Xi Jinping has called for "robust legislative guarantees" to bolster ties with Russia amid evolving global circumstances. This was articulated during his meeting with Russian Parliament Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin.
According to Anadolu Agency, Xi expressed a desire for both nations to actively exchange experiences related to governance and legislation. This collaboration aims to reinforce China-Russia strategic coordination and cooperation across various fields under the current global conditions. Volodin's visit to Beijing is a two-day engagement focusing on legislative cooperation, which Xi describes as crucial for the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership in the present era.
Xi emphasized the stability and maturity of China-Russia relations, highlighting their strategic significance in a world characterized by volatility and change. He remarked that advancing the high-level development of these bilateral relations aligns with the fundamental interests of both nations and contributes to global peace.
In response, Volodin recognized the deepening of relations between Moscow and Beijing under the strategic leadership of their respective heads of state.
