Beijing: China's Defense Ministry announced that the Chinese and Vietnamese navies will undertake a two-day joint patrol in the Beibu Gulf. The patrol, scheduled from Wednesday to Thursday, marks the 39th collaboration of its kind between the two nations' naval forces.

According to Anadolu Agency, a vessel formation from both navies will participate in the patrol, which is part of ongoing agreements and coordination mechanisms. The Beibu Gulf, also known as the Gulf of Tonkin, is a semi-enclosed area of the South China Sea bordered by Vietnam and China. The joint patrol aims to bolster practical cooperation between the militaries and enhance their ability to secure the waters in question.

Earlier this year, in April, the Chinese and Vietnamese navies conducted a week-long joint patrol in the Gulf of Tonkin, reflecting a continued commitment to maritime collaboration and security in the region.
