Gunsan: Nine people went missing Monday after a Chinese fishing vessel capsized off South Korea's southwestern coast. Two of the 11 crew members of the ship were rescued by a passing cargo ship.

According to Anadolu Agency, the 99-ton vessel overturned around 150 kilometers (93 miles) southwest of Eocheong Island at 8.53 am on Monday (2353GMT Sunday), the Gunsan Coast Guard reported. In response, Seoul dispatched four patrol vessels and helicopters to search for the missing crew.

Additionally, a similar incident occurred when another Chinese fishing boat capsized off the southwestern coast of South Korea's Gageo Island on Sunday. This incident resulted in three crew members missing and two others in cardiac arrest, although six of the crew members were successfully rescued.
