Venice: Films set to compete for the Golden Lion award at the Venice Film Festival were announced Tuesday. The festival will feature 21 films in the main competition lineup from Aug. 27 to Sept. 6.

According to Anadolu Agency, films to be showcased include Olivier Assayas' "The Wizard of the Kremlin," Noah Baumbach's "Jay Kelly" starring George Clooney and Adam Sandler, and "The Voice of Hind Rajab" by Kaouther Ben Hania. Other films in the lineup are "Frankenstein" by Guillermo Del Toro and "Father Mother Sister Brother" by Jim Jarmusch, featuring Adam Driver and Cate Blanchett.

The competition will also include Yorgos Lanthimos' "Bugonia" starring Emma Stone, Benny Safdie's "The Smashing Machine" starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt, and Paolo Sorrentino's "La Grazia." US director Alexander Payne will lead the jury for the Golden Lion award.
