Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, Constantinos Kombos pays a visit in Athens on Wednesday, June 14, during which he met with the Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs Vassilis Kaskarelis, and Ambassadors accredited to Cyprus. Constantinos Kombos held a working lunch with Kaskarelis, Foreign Minister of the caretaker government of Greece, in the framework of the ongoing coordination between the two countries. During the lunch, the two Foreign Ministers discussed developments in the Cyprus problem, as well as broader regional developments. In a post on Twitter, Minister Kombos noted that there was full convergence of views with his Greek counterpart on how to address common challenges. "I thank my friend Foreign Minister Vassilis Kaskarelis for the warm welcome and in-depth discussion today in Athens. Full convergence of views to address common challenges," the Cypriot Foreign Minister said in his post. Earlier, Constantinos Kombos held subsequent working meetings with the Ambassadors of ten EU Member States and seventeen non-EU Member States, accredited to Cyprus, focusing on the Cyprus issue, as well as broader international and regional developments. The meetings were an "opportunity for exchange of views on the Cyprus question, as well as regional, European and international developments', Kombos said on Twitter.
