Davide Ballerini Triumphs in 7th Stage of Tour of Trkiye

Antalya: Davide Ballerini of XDS Astana Team emerged victorious in the seventh stage of the 61st Presidential Cycling Tour of Trkiye. The Italian cyclist completed the 152.8-kilometer Antalya-Antalya route in three hours, 19 minutes, and 41 seconds, outpacing Marceli Boguslawski from ATT Investments and Tom Crabbe of Team Flanders-Baloise.

According to Anadolu Agency, Sebastian Berwick of Caja Rural-Seguros Rga maintained his lead in the general classification with a total time of 24 hours, 22 minutes, and 44 seconds, securing both the turquoise and red jerseys. Stage winner Ballerini donned the green jersey, while Mustafa Tarakci of Konya BBSK Cycling Team retained the white jersey.

The eight-day Tour of Trkiye will conclude with the 105.2 km Ankara-Ankara stage on Sunday. This event is a ProSeries race on the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) Europe Tour calendar, marking it as the sole race in Trkiye at this level. The tour traverses scenic Mediterranean and Aegean coastal cities, including Izmir, Aydin, Mugla, and Antalya.

The race, which kicked off in Cesme, Izmir, and will culminate in Trkiye's capital, Ankara, features 161 cyclists from 27 countries, covering a total distance of 1,133 kilometers (704 miles).
