San francisco: The popular messaging platform Discord experienced a significant data breach involving a third-party customer service provider, leading to the exposure of 70,000 government ID photos used for age verification. This incident has raised concerns about data security and privacy among the app's users.

According to Anadolu Agency, the breach resulted in the potential exposure of personal information, including names, usernames, email addresses, the last four digits of credit cards, and IP addresses. Discord's spokesperson, Nu Wexler, stated that the company has contacted all affected users and is actively collaborating with law enforcement, data protection authorities, and security experts to address the issue.
