Khartoum: At least 10 people were killed and 25 wounded in two drone attacks in western Sudan near the border with Chad.
According to Anadolu Agency, the medical charity reported that 29 individuals were transferred to a hospital it supports in the Tina area of eastern Chad following the attacks. MSF did not specify the party responsible for the strikes.
Six individuals died at the scene, while four others succumbed to severe injuries afterward, as stated in a post on the US social media platform X. An MSF staff member in Tina described the hospital situation as ‘extremely critical,’ indicating that patients continue to arrive with heavy bleeding and serious wounds.
‘We are doing everything possible to stabilize them, but the hospital lacks the capacity to treat critical cases,’ said the staff member, according to the organization.
MSF teams are addressing increasing medical needs among Sudanese refugees in the Tina and Oure Cassoni areas along the border. Approximately 4,000 refugees are living in Tina under harsh conditions, while more than 100,000 refugees have been in Oure Cassoni since early 2025, MSF noted.
In Sudan, the RSF paramilitary controls all five states in the Darfur region, excluding some northern parts of North Darfur, which remain under army control. The army controls most areas of the remaining 13 states in the south, north, east, and center, including the national capital of Khartoum.
The conflict between the army and the RSF, which began in April 2023, has resulted in thousands of deaths and the displacement of millions.
