ISTANBUL: Republican candidate and former US President Donald Trump announced his new cryptocurrency venture, World Liberty Financial, in a livestream on Monday. "Crypto is one of those things we have to do," Trump stated on X. "Whether we like it or not, I have to do it," he added. During the livestream, Trump was joined by his sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, along with crypto entrepreneurs Chase Herro and Zachary Folkman. Trump has been promoting the venture since August, although the specific purpose of World Liberty Financial remains unclear.
