Kocaeli: A drone believed to be a Russian-made Orlan-10 reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was found on Friday in Trkiye's northwestern Kocaeli province, the Turkish Interior Ministry said. The drone was discovered in the Cubuklubala neighborhood of Kocaeli's Izmit district, as announced by the ministry on the Turkish social media platform NSosyal. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.

According to Anadolu Agency, the discovery of the drone follows a recent incident where the Turkish National Defense Ministry reported that an out-of-control drone approaching Turkish airspace over the Black Sea was shot down in a secure area. This action was taken to prevent any potential harm.
