Dubai: A drone strike caused a limited fire in the vicinity of the US Consulate in Dubai on Tuesday evening, local authorities said. The incident drew immediate attention as tensions in the region continue to rise.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Dubai Media Office added in a statement on US social media company X that relevant authorities managed to extinguish the blaze. The situation was quickly brought under control, preventing further damage or escalation in the area.

Tension has escalated across the region following the US and Israel's large-scale attacks on Iran on Saturday, which resulted in nearly 800 fatalities, including high-profile figures such as Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and top military officials.
