Seoul:Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi commenced his Asian tour with a state visit to South Korea. His itinerary also includes stops in Malaysia and Indonesia.
According to Anadolu Agency, Sisi arrived at Seoul Air Base, marking the start of his visit to the country. During his stay in South Korea, he is scheduled to meet with President Lee Jae Myung in Seoul.
In addition to his meeting with the South Korean president, Sisi will participate in a roundtable discussion with leaders and representatives of major South Korean companies. The Egyptian presidency announced that this visit is the beginning of Sisi's Asian tour, although the duration of the trip has not been disclosed.
This marks Sisi's first visit to Malaysia since assuming the presidency in 2014. His last trip to South Korea was in 2016, while he visited Indonesia in 2015. Sisi's previous Asian tour, in 2023, included visits to India, Azerbaijan, and Armenia.
