Erdogan Condemns Attacks on Iran During Call with Putin

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in a recent phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, expressed Ankara's disapproval of attacks on Iran, as well as Iran's retaliatory actions against regional countries.

According to Anadolu Agency, the discussion between the two leaders encompassed bilateral relations and a range of regional and global issues. Erdogan remarked on the ongoing US-Israeli conflict with Iran, emphasizing that Turkey remains committed to maintaining peace and stability through continued diplomatic efforts with all involved parties to prevent further escalation of the conflict.

During the phone call, Erdogan also raised concerns about attacks on civilian ships in the Black Sea, highlighting their potential to destabilize the region. He stressed that the conflict involving Iran should not become an additional flashpoint amid the ongoing Russia-Ukraine crisis.

Erdogan conveyed his commitment to monitoring the situation in Syria, emphasizing the importance of actions that promote stability, which benefits both Turkey and Russia. He insisted that progress achieved in Syria should not be compromised.

Moreover, Erdogan criticized the Israeli government's aggressive policies under Prime Minister Netanyahu and emphasized the necessity of reversing actions that threaten the status of Jerusalem.
