The A.G. Leventis Gallery and the Leventis Municipal Museum will host in Nicosia next week the annual conference of the European Museum Academy and the annual award ceremony of the best museums for 2024, an institution that promotes and supports European museums since 2010. According to an announcement by the Leventis Museum distinguished speakers will participate at the conference, taking place between October 3 and 5, presenting topics related to museology, art and culture, while educational workshops will be held. At the same time, it said, all museums nominated for the award will have the opportunity to present their goals and work. Every year, it adds, the European Academy of Museums, awards new or recently renovated European Museums in the categories, Best Museum with an Educational Orientation, Best Museum with a Museological Approach, Best Art Museum and Best Children's Museum. It also notes that the Director of the Anastasios G. Leventis Foundation, Loukia Loizou Hatzigavriel, is a member of the Board of Directors of the European Academy of Museums, while the Art Museum Award has been nominated and financed by the A. G.
