Doha: Sounds of explosions caused by missile interceptions were heard in the skies over Qatar's capital Doha, the Qatari media reported on Tuesday.
According to Anadolu Agency, Qatar has been targeted with 149 missiles, 69 drones, and two fighter aircraft from Iran since the start of the US-Israeli offensive against Tehran. The regional escalation flared up since Israel and the US launched a joint attack on Iran on Feb. 28, killing more than 1,200 people and injuring over 10,000 others.
Tehran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries that are home to US military assets. Despite the heightened tensions, no official comment has yet been issued by the Qatari authorities regarding the missile interceptions over Doha.
