GAZA: A member of Palestinian group Fatah expressed optimism on Sunday regarding the ongoing discussions with Hamas about forming a joint committee to manage the Gaza Strip following Israel’s severe conflict in the region. The discussions were hosted by Egypt on Saturday, focusing on creating a unified approach for the governance and reconstruction of Gaza post-conflict.

According to Anadolu Agency, the meeting aimed to align the visions of Fatah and Hamas concerning the rebuilding of Gaza and addressing the situation in the enclave after the cessation of Israeli aggression. Taysir Nasrallah, a member of Fatah’s Revolutionary Council, indicated hope that a ‘consensus formula’ might be announced shortly following the talks. He emphasized the general direction towards reconstructing the enclave, delivering aid, and managing the territory collaboratively between the two groups, with oversight from the Palestinian Authority.
