Paris: France on Friday condemned Israel's destruction of a school under construction in northern occupied West Bank, calling for accountability.
According to Anadolu Agency, France strongly condemned the action by Israeli authorities, highlighting that the school was being funded by the French Development Agency in collaboration with the European Union. The French Foreign Ministry issued a statement demanding accountability from Israeli authorities for the demolition.
The ministry noted that this incident marks the second demolition of a French-funded project in the West Bank, the first being the Al-Bustan center in East Jerusalem. The statement emphasized that Israel's ongoing settlement policy violates international law and undermines the possibility of achieving a two-state solution.
