Copenhagen: The recent agreement between Denmark, Greenland, and the United States respects the kingdom's 'red lines,' including its sovereignty and Greenlanders' right to self-determination, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen stated. Frederiksen emphasized the importance of respecting Denmark's red lines amid efforts to enhance security in the current global landscape.

According to Anadolu Agency, Frederiksen highlighted that strengthening security in the Arctic while respecting Denmark and Greenland's core interests was pivotal during the negotiations. She reiterated the importance of Denmark's sovereignty and Greenlanders' right to self-determination, which are integral to the agreement.

Frederiksen refrained from discussing the specific content of the agreement before its formal signing. She acknowledged the significant interest and speculation surrounding the details but maintained that she would only comment after the agreement was finalized.
