According to Anadolu Agency, Haddad plans to meet with European Union foreign ministers in Kyiv to reaffirm their support for Ukraine and commemorate the fourth anniversary of the liberation of Bucha. He expressed concern that the global focus has shifted to the Middle East, while the conflict in Ukraine persists. Haddad is advocating for the implementation of a 20th EU sanctions package targeting Russia, particularly focusing on its energy sector.

Haddad also called for the release of a 90 billion pound EU loan for Ukraine, which has been stalled by Hungary despite unanimous agreement from all 27 member states in December. He stressed that this financial support is crucial for both Europe's security and the credibility of the European Union.

The minister criticized recent actions by the United States to ease sanctions on Russian oil exports to India, warning that such measures could bolster Russia's war efforts and its partnerships with Iran. He noted Iran's use of drones in Ukraine and previous collaborations between Moscow and Tehran in Syria.

Haddad reiterated that it is not the right time to lift sanctions against Russia as its aggression continues. He highlighted France's initiatives to mitigate energy pressures, such as releasing strategic oil reserves and coordinating with G7 partners. Additionally, he mentioned ongoing collaboration with Ukraine on military intelligence and drone defense.
