French Police Raid Arab World Institute Amid Epstein Link Revelations

Paris: French police on Monday raided the Arab World Institute in Paris as part of a probe against its former head, France's ex-Culture Minister Jack Lang, amid recent revelations of links to late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

According to Anadolu Agency, searches were carried out at the Arab World Institute and various other locations as part of an investigation into aggravated tax fraud and money laundering targeting Lang and his daughter, the national financial prosecutor's office announced. The broadcaster BFMTV reported on the details of the searches.

Pascal Prache, head of the prosecutor's office, stated, 'They are part of a preliminary investigation opened by the National Financial Prosecutor's Office on Feb. 6, 2026, on charges of aggravated tax fraud and money laundering targeting Jack Lang and Caroline Lang.' The investigation was initiated following the release of over 3 million pages related to the Jeffrey Epstein case by the US Justice Department, which revealed that Jack Lang's name appeared 673 times in exchanges with the American financier.
