Gaza Belongs to Palestinians, Declares Turkish President Erdogan

Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has asserted that the Gaza Strip, along with the West Bank and East Jerusalem, rightfully belongs to the Palestinians. Speaking after a Cabinet meeting in the capital, Erdogan emphasized the enduring connection of Palestinians to these territories.

According to Anadolu Agency, Erdogan's remarks were made in the context of Trkiye's continued support for the Palestinian cause, highlighted by the recent meeting of the Group of Parliaments in Support of Palestine hosted by Trkiye on April 18. Erdogan stated that the Palestinian people's resilience against oppression and their refusal to abandon their homeland is evident despite ongoing hardships.

The Turkish President criticized Israel's actions in Gaza, describing them as brutal and unproductive. He condemned the bloodshed and the blockade on essential supplies, urging a reconsideration of strategies in the region. Erdogan called for a collective effort to seize opportunities for stability and peace.

Erdogan concluded by reiterating Trkiye's commitment to fostering peace and coexistence in the region, expressing hope for continued efforts towards stability in the future.
