Gaza: Gaza's death toll from Israel's war since October 2023 has reached 48,365, the Health Ministry reported on Thursday. A ministry statement confirmed that the bodies of 17 Palestinians were recovered from the rubble in the last 24 hours.
According to Anadolu Agency, 19 more injured Palestinians were transferred to hospitals, increasing the total number of injuries to 111,780 due to the ongoing Israeli onslaught. The ministry highlighted that many victims remain trapped under rubble and on roads, as rescuers face difficulties in reaching them.
A ceasefire agreement has been in effect in Gaza since January 19, which has halted the war that resulted in extensive destruction and left the Palestinian enclave devastated. Despite the ceasefire, Gaza local authorities have reported almost daily violations by the Israeli army.
In November last year, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
