Gaza: At least 58,386 Palestinians have been killed in Israel's ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip since October 2023, the Health Ministry reported on Monday. A ministry statement indicated that 120 bodies were brought to hospitals in the last 24 hours, while 557 people were injured, increasing the number of injuries to 139,077 amid the Israeli offensive.

According to Anadolu Agency, the ministry highlighted that many victims remain trapped under rubble and on roads, as rescuers struggle to reach them. The death toll rose after 240 additional individuals were added to the registry following the finalization of their data.

The ministry further noted that five Palestinians were killed and over 143 injured while attempting to access humanitarian aid in the last 24 hours. This has brought the total number of Palestinians killed while seeking aid to 838, with more than 5,575 others wounded since May 27.

The Israeli army resumed attacks on the Gaza Strip on March 18, resulting in the deaths of 7,568 people and injuries to 26,036 others, disrupting a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement that had been in place since January.

In a related development last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its actions in the enclave.
