Gaza: At least 61,944 Palestinians have been killed in Israel's war on the Gaza Strip since October 2023, according to the Health Ministry's report on Sunday. A statement from the ministry indicated that 47 bodies were brought to hospitals in the last 24 hours, while 226 individuals sustained injuries, increasing the total number of injuries to 155,886 during the ongoing Israeli offensive.

According to Anadolu Agency, many victims remain trapped under rubble and on roads, as rescuers face obstacles in reaching them. The ministry reported that 14 Palestinians were killed, and over 132 were injured by Israeli army fire while attempting to obtain humanitarian aid in the past day. This has raised the total number of Palestinians killed during aid-seeking efforts to 1,938, with more than 14,420 others wounded since May 27.

The ministry further revealed that in the last 24 hours, seven additional Palestinians, including two children, succumbed to malnutrition and starvation in the Israel-blockaded Gaza Strip. This has increased the famine-related death toll since October 2023 to 258, including 110 children. Since March 2, Israeli authorities have maintained a complete closure of Gaza's border crossings, resulting in famine-like conditions for the territory's 2.4 million residents.

The Israeli army recommenced its attacks on the Gaza Strip on March 18, resulting in the deaths of 10,400 people and injuries to 43,845 others, disrupting a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement established in January. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Moreover, Israel faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice concerning its actions in the enclave.
