Gaza city: At least 67,160 Palestinians have been killed in Israel's ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip since October 2023, the Health Ministry reported on Monday.
According to Anadolu Agency, a ministry statement detailed that 21 bodies were brought to hospitals in the last 24 hours, with 96 individuals injured, bringing the total number of injuries to 169,679 since the onset of the Israeli offensive. The statement also highlighted the challenges faced by rescuers, noting that many victims remain trapped under rubble and on roads, inaccessible to aid workers.
Additionally, the ministry reported that two Palestinians were killed and 19 others injured by Israeli army fire while attempting to secure humanitarian aid in the past day. This raises the total number of Palestinians killed while seeking aid to 2,610, with more than 19,143 others wounded since May 27.
The Israeli military resumed its attacks on the Gaza Strip on March 18, resulting in 13,568 deaths and 57,638 injuries, following the collapse of a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement established in January. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, citing war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Furthermore, Israel is currently facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice related to its actions in the enclave.
