Gaza City: At least 52,908 Palestinians have been killed in Israel's ongoing conflict since October 2023, the Health Ministry reported on Tuesday. A ministry statement detailed that 46 individuals lost their lives in recent Israeli attacks within the enclave over the past 24 hours. Additionally, 73 people sustained injuries, raising the total number of injured to 119,721 since the beginning of the Israeli offensive.

According to Anadolu Agency, the statement highlighted the dire situation on the ground, noting that many victims remain trapped under debris and on roads, with rescuers facing significant challenges in reaching them. This has exacerbated the humanitarian crisis in the region.

The Israeli military resumed its operations in the Gaza Strip on March 18, resulting in the deaths of 2,780 people and injuries to nearly 7,700 others. This escalation shattered a previously established ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement that had been in effect since January.

In an international context, the conflict has led to legal actions against Israeli leadership. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, citing war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Furthermore, Israel is currently facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its actions in the enclave.
