Gaza: At least 60,034 Palestinians have been killed in Israel's war on the Gaza Strip since October 2023, the Health Ministry said on Tuesday. A ministry statement revealed that 113 bodies were brought to hospitals in the last 24 hours, while 637 people were injured, increasing the total number of injuries to 145,870 due to the Israeli onslaught. The statement also mentioned that many victims remain trapped under the rubble as rescuers struggle to reach them.

According to Anadolu Agency, the ministry detailed that women and children account for more than 47% of the victims, with 9,782 women and 18,592 children killed. Additionally, 22 Palestinians lost their lives, and over 199 were injured while trying to obtain humanitarian aid in the last 24 hours. This brings the total number of Palestinians killed while seeking aid to 1,179, with over 7,957 others wounded since May 27.

The Health Ministry has made renewed calls for urgent intervention by the international community and humanitarian and medical organizations to stop the Israeli onslaught and protect civilians in the enclave. The Israeli army resumed its attacks on the Gaza Strip on March 18, resulting in the deaths of 8,867 people and injuries to 33,829 others, violating a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement established in January.

On Monday, Israeli rights groups B'Tselem and Physicians for Human Rights-Israel accused Israel of committing genocide in Gaza. They cited the systematic destruction of Palestinian society and the dismantling of the territory's healthcare system as evidence. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Additionally, Israel faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its actions in the enclave.
