Gaza: Gaza's government media office mourned four senior officials killed in renewed Israeli airstrikes on the Palestinian enclave on Tuesday.

According to Anadolu Agency, the office stated that Issam al-Da'alis, head of the government administrative committee, Mahmoud Abu Watfa, undersecretary of the Interior Ministry, Ahmad al-Hitta, undersecretary of the Justice Ministry, and Bahjat Abu Sultan, head of the Interior Ministry's domestic security agency, lost their lives in the Israeli attacks.

The statement detailed that the four officials were killed along with their families in the Israeli airstrikes across Gaza. The Israeli army pounded the Gaza Strip early Tuesday, resulting in the deaths of at least 404 people, with hundreds more injured, effectively breaking a ceasefire agreement that had been in place since January 19.

Images from Gaza depicted that the majority of the victims were civilians, including women and children, whose homes were bombed during the night. More than 48,500 Palestinians have been killed, mostly women and children, and over 112,000 others injured in a sustained Israeli military campaign in Gaza since October 2023.

In November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Additionally, Israel faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its actions in the enclave.
