Antalya: Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze emphasized on Saturday the significant role Azerbaijan plays in maintaining stability in the South Caucasus region.

According to Anadolu Agency, Prime Minister Kobakhidze expressed his sentiments during the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, highlighting the strong and strategic partnership between Georgia and Azerbaijan. He praised the enduring friendship between Tbilisi and Baku and conveyed Georgia's commitment to deepening these ties. Kobakhidze extended his gratitude to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and other officials for their unwavering support towards Georgia, reinforcing the high level of bilateral relations.

Kobakhidze also addressed the ongoing normalization talks between Azerbaijan and Armenia. He stressed the importance of peace in the South Caucasus for all regional stakeholders, including Georgia. He expressed Georgia's readiness to assist in facilitating dialogue and negotiations between the neighboring countries, emphasizing Georgia's consistent role in regional peace efforts.

Georgia has historically maintained balanced relations within the region and has often acted as a diplomatic conduit, particularly during periods of increased tension.
