Germany: Germany on Tuesday condemned bomb attacks in the Syrian capital Damascus that occurred during French President Emmanuel Macron's visit to the country.

According to Anadolu Agency, the German Foreign Ministry issued a statement on social media, expressing strong disapproval of the attack in Damascus that coincided with President Macron's visit. The statement emphasized Germany's stance against the violence, labeling the incident as a "cowardly attack."

The German Foreign Ministry further echoed President Macron's sentiments, reiterating the belief that the Syrian people deserve a sovereign, secure, pluralistic, and united Syria. The ministry assured continued German support for the Syrian population in achieving these objectives.

The bombings, which took place early Tuesday, resulted in injuries to at least 18 individuals, including four police officers. The explosions were caused by two homemade devices that detonated near the Syrian Tourism Ministry in central Damascus during an operation to dispose of them, as reported by the Syrian Interior Ministry.
