Athens: Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi engaged in a phone call to deliberate on pressing bilateral and regional issues, as shared by Mitsotakis's office in a statement.

According to Anadolu Agency, the conversation included a focus on regional developments, specifically addressing the situations in Gaza and Libya. The leaders emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation on migration, a growing concern for Athens due to the continuous influx of migrants from Libya.

The statement highlighted that both leaders stressed the significance of ongoing collaboration and coordination on maritime zone issues in the Eastern Mediterranean. This cooperation is aimed at enhancing security and stability in the region.
