Ankara: Eurasian leaders on Saturday congratulated the US and President Donald Trump as America marked the 250th anniversary of its independence.

According to Anadolu Agency, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy praised the 'American Dream of an independent, free, and prosperous nation that defends people's freedom, faith, and the pursuit of happiness,' which he said 'endured many trials' over the past two and a half centuries. He emphasized Kyiv's appreciation for US support in the conflict with Russia, highlighting the strength of American spirit, resolve, and technology.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev also extended his congratulations to Trump, expressing confidence in the Charter on Strategic Partnership signed in February. Aliyev noted that this agreement has elevated Baku-Washington ties to a new stage, enhancing cooperation in traditional areas like the economy and security, as well as in emerging fields such as digital transformation and artificial intelligence.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan described the celebrations as a "historic milestone," emphasizing the shared values of freedom and independence between Washington and Yerevan. He commended Trump's leadership in promoting peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan through initiatives like the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity project.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko conveyed readiness to normalize Belarusian-American relations and support efforts for global safety. He highlighted the absence of contradictions between the people of Belarus and the US.

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan acknowledged Trump's role in developing Kazakh-American relations and reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening their strategic partnership.

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev recognized the US's strengthened economic power and influence under Trump's leadership and expressed optimism for expanding bilateral ties. He looked forward to meeting Trump at the upcoming G20 summit in Miami, Florida.

Moldovan President Maia Sandu congratulated the US on its 250 years of independence, acknowledging America's enduring freedom and Moldova's pride in its friendship with the United States.
