Hezbollah Claims Responsibility for Rocket and Drone Strike on Israeli Defense Site Near Haifa

Beirut: Hezbollah announced on Monday that it had launched a rocket barrage and drone attack from southern Lebanon, targeting an Israeli missile defense site located south of Haifa.

According to Anadolu Agency, Hezbollah stated that the attack was directed at the Mishmar HaCarmel air defense site shortly after midnight. The Lebanese group framed the operation as a 'legitimate defensive response,' asserting that it was provoked by ongoing Israeli attacks and assassinations. The group urged authorities to stop what it described as US-Israeli aggression towards Lebanon.

Hezbollah claimed the strike was in retaliation for the killing of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The group emphasized that continued Israeli actions justified such responses and called on responsible parties to halt aggression against Lebanon.
