Sanaa: Yemen’s Houthi group announced on Monday their decision to implement “a complete and total ban” on Israeli maritime navigation in the Red Sea. The group declared that any Israeli-linked vessels in the waterway would be targeted as part of this new directive.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Houthi group released a statement confirming that they had recently executed missile attacks targeting key Israeli sites in the Jaffa region. The group claimed these attacks were successful in hitting their intended targets with precision. The missile strikes were described as a retaliatory measure against Israeli actions in Iran, Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, and Yemen.

The statement further emphasized that the Houthis are prepared to escalate military operations in response to any further provocations. They reiterated their commitment to intensifying operations in coordination with the broader axis of Jihad and resistance. The group declared their unwillingness to remain passive in the face of what they perceive as an unjust siege against their people and allied nations, including Palestine, Gaza, Iran, Lebanon, and Iraq.

In related developments, Israel temporarily closed its airspace earlier in the day after intercepting a missile launched from Yemen. This incident was reported by Israel’s Channel 12. The recent surge in hostilities followed a series of missile attacks by Iran against northern Israel, which occurred in response to an Israeli airstrike on Beirut’s southern suburbs. Subsequent Israeli strikes targeted locations in western and central Iran, with reports of explosions in multiple cities, including Tehran, Isfahan, and Tabriz.
