Houthis Claim Repeated Targeting of US Aircraft Carrier in Red Sea

Sanaa: The Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen announced on Saturday that they have targeted the USS Harry Truman in the Red Sea for the eighth time within a month. "The US aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman and some accompanying warships in the northern Red Sea were targeted with a series of cruise missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (drones)," stated Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree.

According to Anadolu Agency, Saree emphasized that this marked the eighth attack since the carrier's arrival in the Red Sea. He asserted that the attacks led to the alteration of the carrier's operational area. Furthermore, Saree issued a warning that any attacks on Yemen during the ongoing ceasefire between Israel and Palestinian resistance groups, including Hamas, in the Gaza Strip, would prompt "qualified military operations" in retaliation.
