Acapulco:Hurricane Trudy has intensified into a Category 1 storm off Mexico's Pacific coast, leading to warnings of severe weather conditions in the southern states of Guerrero and Oaxaca. The hurricane is expected to bring intense rainfall, strong winds, and hazardous sea conditions.

According to Anadolu Agency, as of 3 am local time, the center of the storm was positioned 480 kilometers southwest of Acapulco and 735 kilometers southeast of Manzanillo. The hurricane is moving northwest at a speed of 15 kilometers per hour. Trudy's maximum sustained winds are recorded at 120 kilometers per hour, with gusts reaching 150 kilometers per hour, as reported by Mexico's National Water Commission (Conagua).

Along the coasts, wind gusts are expected to reach 50-70 kilometers per hour, with waves of 2-3 meters in height.

Mexico's National Civil Protection Coordination has advised residents and visitors to avoid beaches and areas impacted by strong waves, and to refrain from crossing flooded streets, rivers, or streams due to potential dangers posed by rising water levels.

As Trudy continues its path northwest over the Pacific Ocean, authorities are closely monitoring its intensity and potential impact on coastal communities. Residents in affected areas are urged to stay updated with official announcements and take necessary precautions to ensure safety.
