Indonesia Continues Search for Ferry Passengers Missing Near Bali

Ankara: Indonesian authorities on Friday continued their search for 30 missing ferry passengers after the vessel sank near Bali island, according to the state-run Antara News Agency.

According to Anadolu Agency, the National Search and Rescue Agency has expanded its search for missing people, including passengers and crew. The ferry, which was en route to Bali island, sank before midnight on Wednesday while crossing from eastern Java island.

So far, at least six people have been confirmed dead, with 29 others rescued. The ferry was carrying approximately 65 people at the time of the incident. Rescue operations faced setbacks on Thursday due to challenging weather conditions, including strong winds, large waves, and powerful currents.
