Jakarta: The Indonesian Navy announced the readiness of three hospital ships for an upcoming humanitarian mission to Gaza. These ships, equipped with medical facilities and helicopters for patient evacuation, are on standby, awaiting orders from navy and government authorities to commence their deployment.
According to Anadolu Agency, First Admiral Tunggul, head of the Naval Information Service, confirmed the operational status of the hospital-assistance ships. The navy's preparation aligns with plans outlined by Navy Commander General Agus Subiyanto. The mission will utilize C-130 Hercules aircraft for transporting logistics and personnel, while the hospital ships are designated to carry medical teams and provide treatment for civilians in Gaza.
General Subiyanto further detailed the Indonesian military's readiness by highlighting the preparation of peacekeeping forces composed of three composite brigades. However, he did not specify the timeline for troop deployment. Indonesia has previously indicated readiness with 20,000 personnel for Gaza's humanitarian needs.
