Inflation in September fell from 1.1% to 0.7% on an annual basis, according to preliminary estimates released by ISTAT on Monday. Inflation at +0,7%, "is the lowest level registered since the start of the year", said ISTAT. The trolley index of everyday goods such as food and household items returned to accelerate on a tendential basis (from +0.6% to +1.1%), while the growth rate on an annual basis of frequently purchased products decreased (from +1.1% to +0.6%), according to estimates released by the national statistics bureau.
