‘Intensive’ Israeli Warplane Flights Reported Over Southern Syria’s Quneitra

Quneitra: ‘Intensive’ Israeli warplane activity was reported over Syria’s southern Quneitra province on Saturday, according to Syria Alikhbaria TV. The broadcaster stated there were ‘intensive flights of Israeli warplanes in the skies of Quneitra.’

According to Anadolu Agency, earlier reports from the broadcaster indicated that sounds heard in the capital, Damascus, were caused by Israeli air defenses intercepting Iranian missiles. This comes amid ongoing tensions in the region.

The US and Israel have maintained airstrikes on Iran since Feb. 28, resulting in over 1,340 casualties, including the then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. In response, Iran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel and other regions, including Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries with US military presence. These retaliations have caused casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions to global markets and aviation.
