Istanbul: Iran and the European nations, including Britain, France, and Germany, have agreed to continue nuclear consultations following a series of discussions held earlier on Friday in Istanbul. The negotiations aimed to address recent developments related to sanctions relief and nuclear issues.

According to Anadolu Agency, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi described the talks as "serious, frank, and detailed." He shared on X that the discussions focused on recent developments concerning sanctions relief and the nuclear issue. Gharibabadi also expressed criticism of the European nations' stances regarding the recent conflict against Iran, while presenting Iran's principled positions, including views on the so-called snapback mechanism.

Gharibabadi emphasized that both parties entered the negotiations with specific proposals and examined various aspects of the issues at hand. He confirmed that the consultations would continue in the future. The meeting in Istanbul marked the second round of nuclear talks between Iran and the E3 group, following a previous session on May 16 at Iran's Consulate General in the same city.

The broader negotiation process between the US and Iran, as well as with European parties, was previously stalled after an Israeli attack on Iran on June 13.
