Nairobi: Iran's army claimed on Sunday that it launched large-scale drone attacks on two US military installations in Kuwait. The Iranian military reported that the attacks targeted an ammunition depot at Camp Al Adiri, along with Patriot missile systems and air-defense radar installations at Ali Al Salem Air Base.
According to Anadolu Agency, the US has been conducting successive waves of strikes on sites within Iran for nearly a week. In response, Tehran has been targeting facilities and bases it alleges are used by the US military in various regional countries, including Kuwait.
The tension between Washington and Tehran has mounted despite a Pakistan-brokered memorandum of understanding signed in June. This agreement was intended to end hostilities and move towards a lasting peace settlement.
