Ankara: Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on Tuesday that it carried out strikes targeting significant Israeli intelligence facilities in Tel Aviv, specifically the military's Aman intelligence directorate and the Mossad agency.

According to Anadolu Agency, the IRGC stated that its Aerospace Force fighters executed 'an effective operation' during the early hours, overcoming what it described as Israel's 'highly advanced air defense systems,' as reported by Iranian media outlets.

The IRGC claimed that the strikes were directed at the headquarters of the Israeli army's Aman and a facility associated with planning assassination operations linked to the Mossad. However, there has been no immediate confirmation from Israeli authorities regarding these reported targets.

The incident marks an escalation in regional tensions since Friday, following Israel's coordinated airstrikes on multiple sites within Iran, including military and nuclear installations, which prompted Tehran to respond with retaliatory strikes.

Israeli officials reported that at least 24 individuals have been killed and hundreds injured due to Iranian missile attacks since Friday. Conversely, Iran reported that at least 224 individuals have died and over 1,000 others have been wounded in the Israeli offensive.
