Iran: Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Sunday denied any responsibility for a drone strike targeting the Saudi capital Riyadh and the country's eastern region, calling on Saudi Arabia to investigate the source of the attack.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Saudi authorities reported on Saturday that 13 drones were intercepted and destroyed over Riyadh and the Eastern Province. However, they did not provide details regarding the origin of the attack or whether it resulted in any damage or casualties.

In a statement, the IRGC asserted, "Iran has no link to this attack, and the Saudi government should investigate the source of these attacks." This denial comes amid heightened tensions in the region.

On Saturday, Ebrahim Zolfaghari, spokesman for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, accused the US and Israel of conducting attacks on what he termed as "illegitimate targets" in regional countries. He claimed these attacks were executed using drones resembling Iran's Shahed-136 drone.

Since February 28, the US and Israel have reportedly been carrying out military operations targeting Iran, resulting in the death of over 1,200 people, including Iran's then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and several top military officials.

In retaliation, Tehran has launched missile and drone strikes toward Israel, Iraq, and Gulf countries that host US military assets. Some of these retaliatory actions have led to casualties and inflicted damage on civilian infrastructure, including airports, ports, and buildings.
