Tehran: Iran on Tuesday estimated damage from Israeli attacks on residential buildings at around four billion tomans ($46 million). Speaking at a press conference in Tehran, Majid Javad, the deputy head of Iran's Housing Foundation, stated that approximately 400,000 buildings have been affected. "The damage ranges from partial to complete destruction," he noted, estimating the financial impact at 3-4 trillion tomans ($46 million).

According to Anadolu Agency, last month, Gholamreza Salehi, the head of the Housing Foundation, identified Tehran and Tabriz as the most affected cities by the Israeli assault. The conflict, which lasted 12 days, began on June 13 when Israel launched airstrikes targeting Iranian military, nuclear, and civilian sites. This resulted in the deaths of at least 935 people, with the Iranian Health Ministry reporting 5,332 injuries.

In response, Tehran initiated retaliatory missile and drone strikes, causing at least 29 deaths and injuring more than 3,400 people, as reported by figures from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The hostilities concluded with a US-sponsored ceasefire, which came into effect on June 24.
