Kharg island: A spokesperson for Iran's parliamentary Energy Committee announced that operations on Kharg Island remain normal, with oil production and exports continuing without disruption, according to Iranian media reports. The announcement comes amid heightened tensions in the region following military confrontations.

According to Anadolu Agency, the spokesperson emphasized that the daily lives of residents on Kharg Island proceed without disturbance. Oil industry workers maintain their activities with high morale, ensuring that oil exports remain steady and unhindered. The spokesperson assured that Iran's oil exports continue uninterrupted, with adversarial ships barred from passing through the critical Strait of Hormuz.

The official issued a stark warning to potential aggressors, stating that any hostile intentions toward Kharg Island would be met with severe repercussions, likening the island to a potential graveyard for invaders. This warning underscores the strategic importance of Kharg Island in Iran's oil export infrastructure.

The backdrop of this announcement is a significant escalation of hostilities in the region, following coordinated attacks by Israel and the US on Iran, which began on February 28. These attacks have resulted in approximately 1,300 casualties, including the death of the then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
