Tehran: Iran's Foreign Ministry announced Tuesday that preparations are underway for talks with the US, with ongoing consultations to finalize the venue. Speaking to Iran's state-run news agency IRNA, Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei stated that the talks are being organized based on President Masoud Pezeshkian's directive.

According to Anadolu Agency, planning is in progress to hold the talks in the coming days, with continued discussions to determine the location. The venue will be announced once finalized. Baghaei expressed gratitude to friendly countries that have contributed to paving the way for a diplomatic process.

Baghaei emphasized that the timing and venue of the talks should not become a subject of media speculation, highlighting that several regional countries have offered to host the negotiations. He mentioned that Trkiye, Oman, and other countries in the region have shown willingness to host the talks, which holds significant value for Iran.
