Tehran: More than 70,000 civilian sites have been damaged in US-Israeli attacks on Iran, the president of the Iranian Red Crescent Society said Thursday. Pir Hossein Kolivand stated that the strikes have also resulted in injuries to more than 18,000 civilians.

According to Anadolu Agency, Kolivand remarked that the attacks have led to damage to over 70,000 civilian units. Additionally, 251 medical centers and 498 educational facilities have been affected due to the strikes.

The regional escalation has intensified since the US and Israel initiated a joint offensive on Iran on February 28. The offensive has resulted in approximately 1,300 fatalities, including the then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Iran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets, leading to casualties and infrastructure damage while causing disruptions in global markets and aviation.
