Tehran: At least 223 women and 202 children have been killed in US-Israeli attacks on Iran since February 28, the Iranian Health Ministry reported on Sunday.
According to Anadolu Agency, the fatalities include three pregnant women and 12 children under the age of five. The Iranian Health Ministry's statement, disseminated by Fars News Agency, also revealed that 41 children have sustained injuries as a result of the ongoing assaults.
The statement further highlighted the extensive damage inflicted on Iran's healthcare infrastructure, with 153 health centers reportedly damaged across the nation. The joint US-Israeli attacks, which began on February 28, have led to the deaths of approximately 1,200 individuals, including the then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
In response to the attacks, Iran has launched retaliatory drone and missile strikes targeting sites in Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and other Gulf countries that host US military assets.
