Iran Rules Out Technical Talks with US in Doha This Week

Ankara: Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi announced on Monday that there are no scheduled technical talks with the United States in Doha this week, contradicting recent US media reports.

According to Anadolu Agency, Gharibabadi clarified that reports about planned technical-working group discussions between Tehran and Washington in the Qatari capital are unconfirmed. He stated that "technical meetings of the working groups are not scheduled for this week."

Gharibabadi further explained that ongoing consultations with Qatar involve efforts to ensure the implementation of US commitments under a recently signed memorandum of understanding. He noted that the first round of technical talks would be organized once conditions are met and an agreement on the date and venue is reached.

The Deputy Foreign Minister also mentioned that discussions on this matter continue through mediator countries.
